Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty
The purpose of the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is to polish a diver s buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. The goal of Peak Performance Buoyancy training is to enhance your buoyancy control abilities through knowledge development and practical skills practice.

Prerequisites
To qualify for the Peak Performance Buoyancy course, you must: 

  • Be certified as an Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
  • Be 10 years of age or older.

If a Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive was conducted during an Advanced Diver program, it may be counted toward the certification requirements for this specialty at the discretion of the instructor conducting the specialty course.

Course Overview
During the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you will learn the following:

  • Peak Performance Buoyancy fundamentals:
    1. Buoyancy check.
    2. Fine-tuning buoyancy underwater.
    3. Weight position and distribution.
    4. Streamlining.
    5. Visualization.
  •  Use of “Basic Weighting Guidelines.”
  •  An opportunity to polish buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level:
    1. Positioning and distributing weight for comfort and desired body position.
    2. Visualization techniques prior to dives.
    3. Buoyancy checks.
    4. Establishing neutral buoyancy during all segments of a dive.
    5. Fine-tuning neutral buoyancy underwater.
    6. Hovering

Course Costs
The Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Certification from Wet N Rugged Sports includes:

  • 4 hours of classroom lecture
  • Two Certification Dives
  • Certification Processing and Administrative fees
This course costs $99 per person. The materials for this course are $34.99, which includes a training DVD.
