CLASSES: Kids - PADI Seal Team

The PADI Seal Team program is an exciting underwater, activity-filled, introduction to the world of diving. The PADI Seal Team program gives children a chance to swim around underwater and experience adventure, discovery and thrills. It also provides parents or guardians with a structured program that lets their children develop skills, learn about the aquatic realm and have a lot of good, clean fun.  The Program is such that meaningful interaction is available to the supervising adult whether they support from the sidelines, or actively participate as a "support diver."

To become official members of the PADI Seal Team, kids must complete the first five of 10 AquaMissions. These activities develop fundamental scuba skills and knowledge while preparing kids for further adventure. Children learn about diving by watching the PADI Seal Team video, through the PADI Seal Team AquaMission Activity Book and during pre-dive briefings with their PADI Instructor. Each AquaMission consists of a briefing, a skill session and a game or activity. Completing the pool dive and answering challenge questions in their PADI Seal Team AquaMission Logbooks earns young divers an AquaMission decal.

Finishing AquaMissions 1-5, which is equivalent to completing the skills in Confined Water Dive One from the Open Water Diver Course, means youngsters are PADI Seal Team members. Receiving a PADI Seal Team member card and wall certificate recognizes their accomplishments and allows them to work toward PADI Master Seal Team recognition.

Prerequisites
To qualify for the PADI Seal Team Program, you must: 

• Be 8 years of age or older.
• Children under 10 should be accompanied at all times by a parent or responsible adult who are encouraged to participate in the program either through observance from the sidelines or as active divers/snorkelers.
• Parents or responsible adults who are Certified Divers are encouraged to participate in the diving activities with their children.

Course Overview
During Dives 1 - 5 of the PADI Seal Team Program, Kids learn how to participate in underwater activities through training similar to the PADI Jr. Open Water Diver program.   The kids progress through basic scuba skills in a way that keeps the activity fun and enjoyable while working along at a slower pace to ensure understanding. Upon completion of AquaMission 1 the child becomes an official PADI Seal team member. Upon completion of AquaMission 5 the child is issued a certificate and encouraged to continue through AquaMissions 6-10.
Scheduled throughout the year AquaMissions 6-10 of the PADI Seal Team Program are exciting activities that may be done in any order.   Certified Parents and siblings are encouraged to join the child in the fun.  These AquaMissions include,

• Navigation Specialist
• Night Specialist
• Safety Specialist
• Search & Recovery Specialist
• Skin Diver Specialist
• Snapshot Specialist
• Wreck Specialist

Course Costs
The PADI Seal Team AquaMissions 1-5 from Wet N Rugged Sports includes:

• Five Classroom and Pool Sessions
• Rental Equipment for your child

This Course Costs $265 per participant, Parents or guardians may accompany their child participant at no additional charge. The material for this class costs $74.99, which includes DVD, activity book, log pages, membership application, and certification.

• Classroom and Pool Session
• Use of Specialty Equipment and materials
• Rental Equipment for your child
